Can I bring my computer in for repair?

Yes, we currently have a repair base in Avondale available for customers to drop in their computers between the hours of 9.30am - 5.00pm Mon - Fri and 10am - 1.30pm Sat, please call us for more information.  Please note our base is closed outside of the advertised hours.  Our standard hourly rate of $75+gst per hour applies, there is no callout fee.


I am located more than 50km from Auckland Central, will your technicians still cover me?

Of course we will!  Unlike some of our comptetitors, we cover a very wide area from Auckland Central.  Basically if you receive the Auckland Yellow Pages then we cover you.  If you are located more than 40km out from Auckland then please call us on 0800 535 555 for a quote on callout.


Can I pay by Internet Banking?

Unfortunately we can not accept payment via Internet Banking unless you have a prior business relationship with us.  We do however accept Cash, Cheque, Eftpos and all major Credit Cards.


When is payment required?  Can I book a technician today and pay next week?

Unfortunately we require payment on job completion unless prior arrangements have been made.


I have a Mac computer, does Alert Computers repair Mac's?

Unfortunately we do not perform hardware repairs on Mac computers.  We do however perform software installation and a variety of configuration tasks on Macs, for example, email & internet configuration and troubleshooting.


I run a small business, will Alert Computers still cover me?

Of course we will, Alert Computers covers both home users and small businesses, please call us on 0800 535 555 to discuss your specific needs.


What happens if my computer can not be repaired?

Nearly all computer faults we deal with are repairable, however in some situations a computer may be beyond repair or may not be cost effective to repair, for example if repair costs are exceeding the cost of a new computer.  In situations like these the technician will advise you on the best solution.
